New Chain Mail weave

I worked long and hard to learn the weave called roundmaille. It is a hard weave to get started. On the other hand the Byzantine is much easier and has really become one of my favorite weaves to work on. Now, I know you all like paper crafts but I had to share these with you too. What do you think? Did I do an okay job on my first roundmaille?

Wow, I think your roundmaille weave is beautiful. Looks like it would take a lot of time and patience! Great job!

Thanks for your comment! I do not have Photoshop...I literally just scanned my siggy and cropped it down. It's about as hi tech as i get! LOL And i love the jewelry...it rocks!

The hardest part of chaining is the first 10 minutes of each new weave or piece. That roundmaille had to be set downand walked away from more than once. LOL! Thanks for commenting. My CM posts don't usually get any traffic.

First - thanks for being the very first person to comment on my new blog!

Second - I love the chain weave! How long do you think it took to do the bracelet?

Well, I walked away from it a few times when I was trying to get it started but I think total time of actually working on it was probably 45 minutes. That's with pre-opened rings. Thats a long time to work on something so small.

The black rings are neoprene so they stretch. :) It's kinda cool actually. Thanks everyone for commenting!!! I hope you all got your names in the drawing. :)
