New spin on an old idea: Fruit Basket

You've seen those freaky expensive fruit bouquets? Yeah what they don't want you to know is how amazingly easy those are to make. This one is simply grapes of 2 colors and strawberries. I made this one for my sister-in-law's baby shower.

Here's how:Find a basket or pot or whatever you like. You need bamboo skewers, fruit, plastic food wrap and some foam. Craft foam or floral foam. Whatever you happen to have.

Cover the foam in wrap. Place into the container you picked. Stick some fruit on the skewers and start puhing them into the foam. Stay shorter on the side and larger in the middle. Like you're arranging flowers.

TaDa! You've just saved yourself about $75 and you have a great gift for a party or occasion. :)

This one took me about 30 minutes. It was a huge hit at the baby shower that I threw for *MY FIRST NEPHEW* Yeah, that's right, the Johnson clan is expanding! I can't wait to meet him!!

You are a GENIUS! I love the edible arrangements and it never occurred to me that they really aren't that complex. Duh. Thanks for the inspiration!
