Craft day!

The girls came over for a fun filled crafts night. We crammed a LOT into one evening too. We made several sets of coasters (The contest is still going on, see next post. You could win!!). We also did stamped candles, pendants and to do list magnets for a busy friends.

For those of you who are thinking: "Stamp on candles?? Huh??" Let me explain. You take a sheet of tissue paper that matches your candle and stamp an image on it. Then cut it out and place it on the candle. Hold wax paper tightly around the candle, making sure there are not wrinkles on your image. Then use a standard embossing gun in a back and forth motion to melt the tissue paper into the candle. It's disappears and all you see is the image.   : )    Not a kid craft. They can stamp for you though!

We made necklace pendants out of  glass tile and silver bails (all from etsy). The diamond glaze is worth it's weight in gold too. I've been using it for all sorts of fun things. If you haven't seen these let me explain this one too. Super easy.

Print out images on to cardstock (you can also use scrapbook paper, your kid's artwork or even pictures!!!). Put a little diamond glaze on your image and place the glass tile on it where you want. Push down making usre you get the glaze on all the edges. Once it's dry you can apply a small amount to the under side too to protect it. Then simply glue the bail on with e600 and there you have it. Super easy craft. My daughter just loves her cupcake and I adore my red tree. You can get images from anywhere. Just hunt the net but remember don't make them and sell any images without permission.    ; )   Be a good crafter.

Don't forget the contest!! It's over in just a few days. I want to do another giveaway in January. I'm not sure what will be in it yet but I think whatever it is will probably have a pendant with it. I'm addicted.

I love these! Especially the pendant necklaces. Thanks for the instructions on that. I usually do a Christmas Crafts party for my oldest daughter and her friends. I think THIS might be the perfect activity.
