Easy ribbon scrap storage

You know those really cool ribbon pull bags? Well I think they are nifty but $34 is a bit much for something I have under my bathroom sink already. I have a few of these plastic kinda bags already that I'm not using. I think I paid about $1 for the small zipper pouch and maybe $5 for the other one but that was some time ago.

I used my Big Bite to punch holes. Trying to space them roughly even. I hate measuring so obviously I didn't do so. :) lol  Start threading the ribbon at the bottom working your way up. Once you have filled all the bottom holes move up a row. This may seem time consuming at first but you get the hang of it very quickly.

As you can see I'm not done with this one yet. I'm trying to go by color out of my ribbon "scrap" jar.

I just snapped a picture to show you my progress. I actually have some housework I need to get on so I'll finish it later.   : )

I was totally thinking about that when I saw the price tag. I'm glad to know it works!

This is really cute! What a fun way to transport your makeup.

I'm happy to see another Arkansan out here in the blog world. :)

I'm glad to see that someone actually thought of making it and it worked out. I also thought the same thing when I first saw these. I saw really cut bags at Wallyworld that your could coordinate with a scraproom. I take the obsession just a step farther.

OMG, you are genius! This is perfect for cropping. I usually have my pages ready to go, but I always find myself searching for something to put my ribbons in. Now I can thread them through and have exactly what I need in a much smaller bag. Thank you!

OOOh spooky - we have both been making ribbon organizers today! I did a 'reels' one which I put on my blog, but I have a PILE of little bits and pieces, so I might have a hunt for some bags I can alter like yours.

Thanks for the inspiration!
