Practically Free Plastic

You know how it's hard to find thin sheets of plastic to make your own crafts from? I thought so too until I got a new pair of Honey Bees (Cutter Bee scissors that are non-stick). Guess what that package is made of?

So I cut it up and put the sheets in my Cricut. You need the deep cut blade to cut it, on 6 muti-cut 1. I used SCAL software and an SVG that I made (and posted on my free svg blog). If you don't have a Cricut you can use scissors to cut the plastic out by hand in any pattern you like.

Now you can make them into anything and it didn't cost you a penny more than you already spent on whatever was in the plastic box. On top of that, you don't throw all that plastic away so that's a bonus for the enviroment.

I display past Halloween pictures around the house in October. It's a way off but I wanted to get started on stuff anyway.

These would be great as a mini-album cover, accents on cards and scrapbook pages or anything else you can think of. So, what will you make with your newly found plastic?

I have another tip on how to use the plastic from packaging. I hope you don't mind me adding and idea here. But, you can also use the Cuttlebug or Sizzix to cut and/or EMBOSS as well...the result when you emboss is awesome!!!!! Great tips by the way. Also, thanks for commenting on my blog!!! I dig your blog as well!!!!!! ;)
